WORCESTER, MA - February 2011 – Bay State Savings Bank announced that it will be raising funds for “Be Like Brit” – Britney Gengel’s Poorest of the Poor Fund during its 6th Annual Champions for Children $5,000 Dig for Cash. Sponsored in part by WXLO Radio, the event will take place Friday, March 4, 2011 from 4pm to midnight at Wachusett Mountain in Princeton, MA. Bay State Savings has already begun collecting donations for “Be Like Brit” at all of its branch locations and is also donating $1 to the fund for every “like” the Bank receives on Facebook.

A lift ticket for the $5,000 Dig for Cash, which typically costs around $40 for the 8 hours of night skiing, can be obtained at any Bay State Savings Bank branch for a $25 donation to “Be Like Brit.” In addition to reduced lift ticket prices, $5,000 Dig for Cash attendees will have the opportunity to win a total of $5,000 in cash prizes and $350 in gaming gift cards.
