Press release from: Remote Control Productions GmbH
Munich, 17.02.2011 – The Munich based production house remote control productions (rcp) is traveling to the annual Games Developers Conference 2011 with a bag full of high quality games. The portfolio includes retail and download titles for PC and Console (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3), as well as browser based games from the strategy and action-rpg genres. Goal of attending the GDC 2011 is to introduce the product range to potential partners, but also to established new contacts and strengthen existing ones within the gaming industry, as well as exploring possible work for hire opportunities.

remote control productions already looks back on a successful company history and has recently set two new milestones: the free2play browsergame “WARSTORY – Europe in Flames” by Chimera Entertainment is the first title published with browsergame giant Bigpoint and the shoot’em up “Zeit²” by Brightside Games was recently released on Xbox Live Arcade with Ubisoft. rcp is a shareholder of both studios and played a significant role in developing and pitching both games. At GDC 2011, rcp will be presenting games from the following studios: Chimera Entertainment, Brightside Games, Clockstone Studio and Piece of Pie Studios, as well as games from the browsergames label GAMESINFLAMES.

International top events like the Games Developer Conference 2011 are on top of rcp’s agenda. Already this year, rcp has attended the Games Forum Germany in Hannover, the Casual Connect in Hamburg and the DICE Summit in Las Vegas. The exposure to opinions and impressions from talks and lectures are important indicators for rcp of how the gaming industry will evolve and develop in the future.

Hendrik lesser, managing director of remote control productions, states that: “By visiting the Games Developers Conference 2011, we are positioning ourselves as an internationally active company from Germany and thereby increasing the perception of Germany as producer of high quality games. We are proud to be able to do our bit and are excited and optimistic about the upcoming GDC.”

Christopher Kellner, business development manager at rcp, adds: “If nothing else, by regularly visiting fairs and events, we are able to build up a strong network of good contacts within the industry. We are looking forward to meeting up with old and new business partners and we expect many productive meetings. Of course we will happily consider short term appointment requests, too.”
