VIV Asia 2011, Asia’s largest livestock technology exhibition, is ready to showcase world-class technology to Thailand and also to Asian livestock producers during 9-11 March 2011 at BITEC, Bangkok, Thailand.

VIV Asia 2011, Asia’s largest livestock technology showcase, is ready to exhibit world- class technology to Thailand and Asia’s livestock industry during 9-11 March 2011 at BITEC, Bangkok, Thailand. The show organizer, N.C.C. Exhibition Organizer Co., Ltd., said that the show will feature 650 leading companies offering the latest livestock technology and solutions to 22,000 industry professionals from 94 countries.

Ms. Ladda Mongkolchaivivat, General Manager, N.C.C. Exhibition Organizer Co., Ltd., (NEO) said that “VIV Asia 2011, which is the 10th edition, will be the biggest show in VIV Asia’s 20-year history.”

Ms. Ladda affirmed that the strong demand for exhibition space at VIV Asia 2011 indicated that the prospect of Asia’s (including Thailand’s) livestock industry is bright. Demand for livestock products are on the rise as a result of a more robust world economy. No surprise then that world leading suppliers want to secure a presence in the region.

In addition to a variety of livestock technology, NEO and its partner, VNU Exhibitions Europe, have lauched 3 brand new technology zones to serve rising demand and also to see VIV Asia 2011 advance its ‘from feed to meat’ concept. New profiles are FeedTech-CropTech Asia 2011 for milling equipment, and also technology and Laboratory@VIV Asia 2011, focusing on feed and food safety technologies.

In addition to individual companies, national pavilions will be another highlight. Some of the pavilions sure to be of interest are from China, France, Korea, the Netherlands, Italy, Israel, UK and USA.

For the first time, Thailand will host its own complete ‘Thailand Pavilion’. This particular pavilion is organized by the Thai Livestock Equipment Association (TLEA). This will feature livestock production equipment, some of which is made in Thailand. Mr. Cherdchai Sinsang, the president of TLEA, said that VIV Asia 2011 is the ideal start for members to introduce their products into the Asian market.

The organizer estimated that investment spending during the 3-day-show should be a record high, as most leading livestock producers are using VIV Asia as a basis for business discussion before proceeding to make any major investments. As for Thailand, the show is likely to generate 26.5 million dollars (US) to its MICE industry.

In addition to technology and business solutions, VIV Asia 2011 will be an excellent education platform for the industry. “With 10 editions behind us, we now aim to look ahead to the next 10 years. So we are organizing ‘Focus 2021’ with Rabobank International as part of the Official Opening on March 9 from 10h30-11h30. Rabobank is bringing in one of their leading keynote speakers to discuss the future, with a focus on animal production in the Asia-Pacific region over the coming 10 years,” said Ms. Mongkolchaivivat adding that “other interesting activities include ‘ChinaVisions’ (March 9, 18h00-21h00) and comprehensive conference programs that will provide detailed coverage of all the sectors of the trade exhibition concept including special events.”

VIV Asia 2011 will take place on 9-11 March 2011 at BITEC, Bangkok, Thailand in concurrence with Aquatic Asia 2011 - - a new event dedicated to the Asian Aquaculture industry. This will be located in Hall 105. For more information, please visit www.viv.net and www.aquatic-asia.net
