18th September 2009 - IMC Projects, a mining company based in Malaysia, announced on Friday that they had made a recent discovery of premium grade Tantalum deposits in an area of land currently under license to the privately owned metallic ore mining company. An economically profitable project for “IMC Projects.”

IMC Projects announced that the discovery was first made in September 2008 during routine exploration activities on the Banka Island, Indonesia, in the effort to expand their corporations tin mining operations.

Independent economic analysts have now confirmed that there are sufficient deposits of the rare metallic ore – Tantalum - to provide an economically viable mining project, with a projected three year feedstock level in line with the projected market demand over the same three year period.

IMC Projects’ current production capacity, (approximately 500,000lbs of) Tantalum can be extracted per annum; contributing (over a 3 year period) approximately 9% of the world metal ore markets’ total global Tantalum supply.

IMC Projects’ CEO and Chairman, Dr. Patrick Janssen, was present to explain how the discovery would help to change the face of the Independent Mining Company, making it a formidable force in the metallic ore mining sector within the mining industry.

“The Tantalum discovery will prove to be the biggest stroke of luck I have witnessed during my 30 year career in the industry of mining for ‘precious metals’. Tantalum mining has the financial potential to secure our future as we aim to diversify our business model towards other avenues of mining activity under the ever increasing portfolio of IMC Projects”.

IMC Projects’ intention in relation to the Tantalum mining project was clarified by Dr Janssen;

“IMC Projects, as a mining company, will always use a large proportion of our own equity and resources to launch project proceedings. We have already invested sufficient quantities of our own reserves into the preliminary stages of the plan, and will fund stage two with our long term investment clients. We will then open the project up to a final stage of investment as we work to bring new partners on board to fully realize the future economic potential of IMC Projects”

IMC Projects are expected to release a further statement in the near future, which will provide a full strategic plan for the Tantalum project planned by IMC.
