Compumatica in the “Heart of the digital World“

Aachen/Hanover, February 1st 2011.- As in the previous years Compumatica secure networks will be present at the CeBIT in Hanover. Consistent with this year’s trade fair slogan “Heart of the digital World” Compumatica will present news around the digital world.

The heartbeat of the digital world pulsates with high frequency and thus determines a fast beat for developments in the security sector. These are necessary if people wish to keep up with the times but want to ensure an optimal protection for their communication as well. The protection of mobile communication in the business sector is only one of many important domains for which Compumatica delivers further developments to adapt existing encryption solutions to individual customer requirements.

Compumatica has developed the interoperable CompuVoice Gateway to create a possibility for protected communication of 2G and 3G mobile phones with landline phones. The handling of the device is very easy and secure. It is available as standard configuration, but further functions may be added on request to meet special customer demands. Thus, the gateway may be designed very flexibly.

The sector of Cloud Computing is another field in which Compumatica keeps developing: The CompuWall that can make use of Kaspersky anti-virus technology is a well-tried Application Level Firewall for the protection of sensitive data by means of physical network separation. New features are developed all the time.

A further novelty in the portfolio is planned for 2011: Compumatica secure networks currently works on the development of a special encryption device for the application in vehicles. Thus, mobile data communication may securely take place even while driving. A special characteristic of this device is on the one hand that it is still operative with extreme temperatures between -20 and +55°, and on the other hand that it has a very silent operating mode since it works without any fan. An optional fan may thus be added if required. The lifetime of the device has been calculated to be 10 years without maintenance.

In January 2011, Compumatica released the first version of the CompuMail Gateway for secure encryption of e-mail traffic. The functionality of this tool may be tested by the CeBIT users themselves at the Compumatica trade fair stand where Compumatica will also present its further products.
