(openPR) - EXASolution can now be seamlessly integrated with SAP

Nuremberg, 7 February 2011 – EXASOL AG in Nuremberg is expanding its product portfolio to include the Xtract EXA connector, which was developed in collaboration with technology partner Theobald Software. By virtue of the new connector, SAP clients are now also able to access EXASolution as a basis for their data warehouse and business intelligence infrastructure. The relational high-performance database from EXASOL is a well-engineered, efficient and reasonably-priced addition to SAP BW.

Xtract EXA guarantees seamless integration between EXASolution and SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) – or rather SAP Business Information Warehouse (BW) systems. Via the connector, the EXASOL database receives 1:1 access to SAP data – its extraction and analysis are accelerated, so companies can gain valuable information from their data in a highly efficient way.

As a reporting database, EXASolution complements existing BW systems. Users benefit both from lower costs in comparison to using a Business Information Warehouse Accelerator (BWA) from SAP and from outsourcing and streamlining data pools – at this juncture, EXASolution scales perfectly. In addition, the database – which is based on in-memory technology – can be gradually expanded, and investments already made can be protected for the long term.

The Xtract EXA connector is based on the SAP-certified product ERPConnect by Theobald Software. The technology partnership between EXASOL and the supplier of SAP interface technologies started in August 2010.
