Mindfire conducted its first Medical Camp at Bali

02/02/11, Bhubaneswar: Mindfire Solutions has successfully completed its first medical camp in Bali on 23rd Jan 2011. This was one of the initiatives which Mindfire triggered in early 2011. The biggest achievement of this camp was that, 15 cataract patients were successfully operated who were in the verge of losing their vision. Also, 8 potential Cancer patients were identified to be in their early stage. All the pre and post medical treatment expenses were met by Mindfire Solutions.

This free medical camp which also included free medicines was organized by Good Luck Hospital of Cuttack, Rotary Eye Hospital and Mindfire Solutions. It was conducted at Bali High School premises in Bali, which is a 1hr 15mins drive from Bhubaneswar. There were a total of 15 doctors, 10 nurses/attendants, 20 school teachers and NCC cadets, and 12 volunteers from Mindfire Solutions. Around 500 patients were attended and specialties covered were Pediatrics, Gynecology, Homeopathy, ENT, Dental, Eye and Medicine. Most served people were 120 for Eye, 100+ for Pediatric, 100+ for Gynecology, 130+ for Medicine and the rest for ENT, Dental & Homeopathy. We were successful in covering villages in the radius of 15-20 kms. Patients from all age groups were attended, ranging from 7 months to 107 years. Unlike in most medical camps where people are given insufficient dosage of medicines, here everyone was given full dosage for 20 to 30 days. The 15 Cataract patients have been operated and also 8 Cancer patients who were identified are under treatment and being taken care of. Patients from far off places (as far as 200kms away) came to get treated in this camp.
