GENERAL WOODCRAFT SELECTED AS AIA/CES APPROVED PROVIDER
Press release from: Mataverde Premium Ipe Decking
General Woodcraft has recently been selected as a continuing education Approved Provider for the AIA (American Institute of Architects). The AIA is widely recognized as the world’s foremost organization in the professional disciplines of architecture and design. The AIA/CES (Continuing Education Systems) monitors and administers the training and education of licensed architect members of the AIA.
General Woodcraft has recently copy written a new training program entitled, “Specifying Appropriate Materials for Decking and Outdoor Structures”. This training seminar allows participants to earn 1.5 LU’s (Learning Units). Typically 18 Learning Unit credits per year are required for architects to maintain their license. The rigorous standards of the AIA are so widely respected that these educational credits are also accepted by nearly every state’s licensing board for architects as well.
The course itself deals with the pros and cons of all commonly used materials for decking and outdoor structures. It provides a wealth of information and a wide variety of tools for architects to make well informed decisions for the materials they are specifying for projects.
At a session recently offered in Mamaroneck, NY, nearly 40 architects were afforded the opportunity to earn educational credits toward their license. The session received extremely complementary reviews from nearly all who participated. General
Woodcraft President Steven Crook (AIA/CES Registered Presenter) delivered an outstanding presentation.
Throughout the seminar and again at the Q&A period at the end of the training session, Mr. Crook’s great wealth of experience and nearly encyclopedic knowledge of wood and the wood industry added a rich layer of knowledge to an already award winning group of highly accomplished architects.
As General Woodcraft is a Regional Provider, this course is currently available in Connecticut Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. While groups of eight to twelve are the optimal size, General Woodcraft can accommodate larger and smaller groups as well.
If you are an architect or know of a group of architects who wish to participate in this course, please contact Chris Nolan or Steven Crook at General Woodcraft for more information.
Mataverde Premium Ipe Decking is a strong and good looking premium hardwood decking product with a high fire resistance and offers 25 years of warranty against insect damage.

Comments about openPR
OpenPR ist the nicest and most clearly laid out PR platform I have seen to this day. The press releases are displayed very nicely and clearly and without any unnecessary frills.
The updates are fast and the finished release looks appealing and is clearly legible.
Even with 16 years of experience one discovers new things from time to time.
Congratulations!
