January 2008, saw the start of the EON Systems’ public service webinar, How to Evaluate Software for your Practice. Such was the response to the webinar that it has been continually updated and is now in its fourth consecutive year. This updated webinar has evolved into its current form including a new title “How to Evaluate Software in the New EHR World”. The webinar augments the previous one with the latest news on the government incentive program.

The public service webinar instructs participants in how to choose software the right way, how not to choose software, seven very costly mistakes in choosing software and 10 important things a practitioner should know about software. This webinar gives you updates on the EHR initiative. Covered in detail about the incentive is the payment schedule, payment reductions and what is required in Stage 1, giving you the basics on what it all means. The webinar is about 45 minutes long and takes place on various days and times to accommodate busy schedules. A schedule and registration page is available at www.eonsystems.net or call Alexandra Greenwood at 800-955-6448.

An attendee of the free webinar from Fort Meyers, FL said, “Guidelines for determining [the] best software for our future goals, etc., [were] helpful. Thank you.” Another attendee from Whiting, NJ praised the webinar, “Now I will be able to choose with confidence.” From Los Angeles, CA a pleased attendee stated, “I appreciate the outlined and detailed step-by-step process to consider when comparing software…the message was clear and simple.”

This webinar is given by EON Systems’ founder Derek Greenwood. EON Systems, Inc. offers The Digital Office™ combining The Practice Solution™ (full featured practice management software), Documentor™ (documentation software) and Document Solution™ (document handling and storage).
