N-iX’ team participates in Roborace 2010/2011

N-iX, Ukrainian IT outsourcing provider of software solutions and engineering services, takes part in second round of the Open Championship of Robotics “Roborace” 2011-2010, which is held on January 29th in Lviv, Ukraine.
Open Championship of Robotics “Roborace” 2011-2010 involves a competition, which may participate as simple designs created by beginners and complex robotic devices equipped with sophisticated software. The championship includes team contest among track type of robots. Rules of competition are formed in order to cover a broad spectrum of characteristics and capabilities of robotic devices.
Goals and objectives of the championship are: encouragement of creativity, the intellectual and spiritual development of youth; further development and popularization of robotics in Ukraine and worldwide; cooperation with other countries and exchange of experiences; increase of the number of members and adherents of NGO “Association of Robotics” in Ukraine and abroad.
N-iX’ team consists of two engineers Dmytro Naumov and Andriy Bandrovskyy. They have built their own track type robot. During the race robots are allowed to move by means of automatic control only. All the other methods are forbidden.
