Change is an everyday occurrence. Although we may fall into patterns, changes occur with or without our knowledge.
This show aims to showcase some of the best new talent from a mix of disciplines, from photography to illustration to graphics and fashion design. A diverse mix of content, method and technique is connected by an overriding theme in the form of change; each artist has undergone a series of life changes to be where they are now, at the start of their emerging careers.
Most of the artists taking part in ‘Subjects for Change’ have moved locations, jobs, and most importantly, changed their work in order to engage themselves with the discourse of contemporary design today.
Here you will find is a mixture of styles, content and approaches to juggling modern day-to-day life and a shared passion for creating and making, be it 2D or 3D, traditional techniques or a collaborative effort that yields this collection, this exhibition presents a chance to see some great work from those who are at the beginning of a long career.
