Basel / Switzerland, January 25, 2011 -- Backed by the continuous growth in audience, distribution channels, and sponsors, Art TV pioneer VernissageTV adds new correspondents and places to its lineup. Additional correspondents in Poland, Switzerland, Mexico and Germany will open new windows to the art world.

Switzerland
Only a few days before Art Basel Miami Beach, VernissageTV attended the art fair Contemporary Istanbul and visited one of Istanbul's galleries with international scope, NON Gallery. Back in Switzerland, VernissageTV covered Image–Mouvement at Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève and spoke with the director of the center, Katya García-Antón. Current episodes from Switzerland also include Heimo Zobernig's solo show at Kunsthalle Zürich, Bettina Pousttchi at Kunsthalle Basel, and Imi Knoebel at von Bartha Contemporary.

Poland
VernissageTV's correspondent in Poland had a look at four major retrospectives: Norman McLaren: Synchromie. Musique Optique at WRO Art Center, Wroclaw; Wolf Kahlen: Video Tapes 1969-2010 at WRO Art Center in Wrocław (Interview with Wolf Kahlen); Sedzia Glowny: Being the Chief Judge / Retrospective at Awangarda Gallery, Wroclaw; and the Wladyslaw Strzeminski Retrospective at MS2, Lodz.

Paris
In Paris, VernissageTV attended the opening evening of the Saint Claude galleries with Pierrette Bloch exhibiting at Michael Werner Gallery, two exhibitions at Emmanuel Perrotin (Claude Rutault and Ivan Argote), and a conceptual show with Nemanja Cvijanović and Ivan Moudov at Galerie Alberta Pane.

Berlin
VernissageTV's correspondent in Berlin had a look at the first comprehensive solo exhibition about the Israeli artist Absalon (at KW Institute for Contemporary Art); Michel François' solo show at Carlier Gebauer Gallery, Berlin; and Klaus Staeck's tribute to Sigmar Polke at Akademie der Künste.

London
In London, VernissageTV attended London Art Fair 2011 and the openings at Alison Jacques Gallery (Robert Mapplethorpe, curated by Scissor Sisters) and Hauser & Wirth (Martin Creed: Mothers).
