Cowles & Thompson’s Tony Mallers Elected Texas Bar Foundation Fellow

DALLAS – Attorney George A. “Tony” Mallers, a shareholder in the Dallas-based law firm of Cowles & Thompson, P.C., has been elected as a Fellow in the Texas Bar Foundation.
Foundation Fellows are selected based on a demonstrated outstanding record of professional achievements and commitment to support the community at large. Membership is restricted to one-third of 1 percent of all Texas-licensed lawyers.
Mr. Mallers is a shareholder in the Business Litigation and Family Law Practice groups at Cowles & Thompson. For more than 20 years, he has represented individuals and companies in a wide variety of complex cases, including business litigation, construction project litigation, real estate transactions and litigation, divorce, probate, and criminal defense. He routinely handles matters in courtrooms throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area, including Collin, Denton, Rockwall, Ellis and Kaufman counties.
His professional memberships include the State Bar of Texas, the Family Law and Construction Law sections of the Dallas Bar Association, and the Texas Family Law Foundation. He also is a member of the board of directors for the Family Law section of the Collin County Bar Association and a Lifetime Fellow of the Collin County Bench-Bar Foundation. Mr. Mallers earned his law degree from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 1987, following his graduation from Indiana University in 1984.

Founded in 1965 by lawyers determined to assist the public and improve the law profession, the Foundation has maintained its mission of using the financial contributions of its membership to build a strong justice system for all Texans. Since its inception, the Texas Bar Foundation has grown from 254 Charter Fellows to more than 7,500 Fellows throughout Texas today.
