PREMIER Biosoft International Releases PrimerPlex 2.50 with Support for Designing Multiplex PCR assays.
Press release from: PREMIER Biosoft International
(openPR) - Palo Alto, California – January 19, 2010 - PREMIER Biosoft International today announced the worldwide release of PrimerPlex version 2.50. PrimerPlex will now enable users to design highly specific multiplex primers for standard PCR assays. The program also supports oligo design for suspension array based systems such as Luminex 100, Luminex 200 and Bio-Plex 200.
PrimerPlex creates a pool of primers for each sequence under uniform reaction conditions, checks them for cross hybridization with other primer sets and homologies with the rest of sequences in the pool. It thereby resolves hundereds of primer combinations to provide the most optimal results to users.
“Multiplexing is now one of the most common reactions being carried out in labs to target multiple genes at once. PrimerPlex 2.5 is authored to address this specific need,” commented Kay Brown, V.P. Business Development and Marketing.
