metas establishes international subsidiary in Romania and expands team of experts dedicated to the open source ERP system ADempiere

Sankt Augustin, Germany, 18 January 2011 – With the establishment of its international subsidiary metas.ro SRL in Romania, metas GmbH, Germany’s leading expert for ADempiere, the open source ERP system, has laid the cornerstone for the company’s future growth on the European market.

As part of its core activity, metas.ro SRL will be involved in the further development of ADempiere.

By setting up a second location in downtown Timisoara, Romania, metas GmbH has taken into account not only positive business trends and the resulting increase in the demand for development capabilities, but also the ever-growing demand for global customer orientation.

Managing Director of metas GmbH Norbert Wessel declares, “We are particularly proud that Teo Sarca, one of the main developers of ADempiere who has been active since its inception, has agreed to take over the management of our Romanian subsidiary.”

No developer jobs were made redundant following the founding of metas.ro SRL. On the contrary, an entirely new team of developers was also brought on board.
