Software Released for Telecommunications Equipment

SANTA ROSA, CALIF.----January 12, 2011—

Centellax announced today the release of their new Centellax Signal Integrity Studio (SIS) application, Version 1.0. SIS provides Centellax customers the ability to control multiple Centellax instruments through a Windows-based Graphical User Interface (GUI). This easy-to-understand interface allows for a more integrated and effective use of Centellax products. According to Steve Sekel, Centellax VP of Marketing, “SIS marks the beginning of the rich software applications that will be built upon the Centellax line of BERT instruments. You can expect to see much more in the future”.

SIS features include:

Easy-to-use control panels for the following instruments:
PCB12500 Parallel Channel BERT
TG5P1A 2-Tap Pattern Generator
TR2P1A Error Detector
PPG12500 Programmable Pattern Generator
TG1B1-A 10G BERT
TG1C1-A Clock Synthesizer
Multi-channel testing is a core element of the SIS architecture, expanding the utility of Centellax's parallel channel BERTs in applications such as crosstalk susceptibility testing and characterizing multi-lane data link implementations.
SIS can record and display a series of BER measurements, enabling users to:
Monitor the instantaneous BER over time and report the accumulated BER. This is useful for watching for patterns of bit errors over time and monitoring changes in the measured BER.
Measure BER across multiple Error Detectors simultaneously and report the parallel (aggregated) BER across multiple channels, ideal for monitoring the performance of multiple receivers at once.
View the BER measurement-based Bathtub, or horizontal slice through the eye as seen by a Centellax Error Detector. Viewing the Bathtub is useful for examining transmitted signals, and can be used for comparing the width of the eye opening in different conditions. For example, users can quickly view how crosstalk aggressors affect a transmitted signal by comparing the width of the resulting Bathtub with and without the presence of aggressors.
The SIS application is free of charge and can be downloaded off the Centellax website via a simple user registration page. For more information visit: http://www.centellax.com/products/testmeas/software/signal-integrity-studio

Santa Rosa, Calif., November 10, 2010 - Centellax announced today they will be partnering with EDN China to give a live webcast in Mandarin Chinese, on Characterizing Crosstalk in High-Density, High-Speed Backplanes. The webcast will outline the detrimental effects of crosstalk, discussing several methods of measuring crosstalk, and details the characterization of crosstalk in a high-density high-speed backplane. BER-based jitter measurements are used to quantify the impairment caused by near-end crosstalk

Bit Error Rate (BER) Tester Market Growth Report 2016 - 2022
Bit error rate (BER) is the number of bit errors per unit time or bit error ratio is defined as the ratio of total number of bits transferred over a communication medium to the total number of bit errors at the recipient side. Bit Error Rate (BER) testers are the systems used to detect the BER over any communication link as radio link, optical fiber, copper cable or others. When
