Sony Music gets on board Windchimes Communications to handle social media duties

Mumbai, December 30, 2010: Windchimes Communications, one of India’s leading social media agencies has been signed on as the Social Media Agency for Sony Music India, the Indian counterpart of the global recorded music company – Sony Music.
Sony Music has an enviable roster of music and artistes on board that include a broad array of both local and international superstars. Some of Sony Music’s renowned featured artistes include Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Shakira, Santana, Usher and Adam Lambert amongst others. The music company also boasts of a vast catalog that comprises some of the most important recordings in history.
Windchimes will handle social media marketing for Sony Music India for both –Indian and International Repertoire. The Mumbai-headquartered agency has the mandate of handling the social media presence for the music brand, creating buzz for new launches and building meaningful engagement for the brand with its audiences.
Commenting on this development, Sanujeet Bhujabal, Director Marketing, Sony Music said “Social media has changed the way people interact globally and we especially see the impact in India now.
