Shopping inside Facebook to Soar in 2011

Facebook application development company, Zibaba, foresees a dramatic rise in eCommerce within Facebook in 2011, including storefronts with the ability to use social marketing tools and affiliate marketers to gain customers.

“With targeted access to over half a billion people, stores on Facebook will be booming in 2011,” stated Ronen Shlomo, CEO of Zibaba (www.zibaba.com). He continued “Facebook will become the biggest shopping mall in the world. Open seven days a week, 24 hours a day, Facebook is already the most popular virtual destination on the Internet. Using technology developed by Zibaba, store owners can easily upload full catalogs of merchandise to their Facebook storefront.” Unlike other utilities that offer catalog functionality within Facebook, Zibaba has developed a cashier interface which gives store owners the option to allow shoppers to complete and pay for their transaction, all within the Facebook environment.

Zibaba has been developing applications for Facebook for the past three years and are a Facebook ‘preferred developer’ company. This places Zibaba in a unique position in the current market place within the world of social media. In addition to the expertise in application development, Zibaba also provides services that assist with the marketing aspects of their customers’ stores. “We have the knowledge and experience of running and optimizing advertising campaigns in Facebook. They will have the ability to choose from every Zibaba online store. Potentially, affiliate store fronts could be even bigger than many of the online merchant stores. It’s like opening a store in Oxford Street or Times Square, with the amount of passing foot traffic, but without the expense. It’s a win win situation for merchants and affiliates.”

With the imminent launch of the affiliate program, Zibaba will also be launching a full suite of built-in marketing tools which will enable merchants and affiliates alike, to fully promote their online store fronts.
