(openPR) - Distributor of speciality chemicals and food / pharma ingredients to industry, IMCD UK, has joined forces with logistics specialist Rhys Davies Freight Logistics to deliver its diverse range of products to customers throughout the United Kingdom.

The national logistics company has worked closely with IMCD UK to develop a transport system to ensure a reliable next-day delivery service of both hazardous and non-hazardous materials across the country.

Ian Donovan, HSEQ and Logistics Manager for IMCD UK said, “We looked long and hard before appointing Rhys Davies as our logistics provider, we needed a company that would understand the complex nature of our products and the challenges involved. Detailed specifications of every product to be transported are supplied by IMCD UK to Rhys Davies via Industry Safety Data Sheets so that the correct procedures for their safe delivery can be followed. In the case of especially hazardous materials, IMCD UK provides additional information to enable the logistics team at Rhys Davies to apply their expertise to ensure the safety of everyone involved in their transportation.
