TOPEX VCSS is a voice communication system intended for air traffic control applications and dispatcher - type communication centres. It is a full digital system with flexible and scalable architecture to allow its configuration for a very wide range of applications in the ATC/ATM field.
Presently, the solution successfully integrates the IP Radio Gateway, that
interfaces between Radio legacy infrastructure and IP networks (for air-ground
communications) and the MFC Eurocontrol Signaling Converter, which assures
transportation of this protocol over the Internet (for inter VCSS communications, ground-ground communications).
TOPEX IP-based Voice Solution for ATC Communications is reliable, non-blocking and it have been commercially implemented, for over five years, within the Romanian Air traffic Control Organization.
