ARE OFFSHORE EMPLOYEES GETTING ANY CHRISTMAS PARTY?

12-18-2010 12:22 AM CET | IT, New Media & Software

Press release from: Omnisource Technologies

More and more U.S. companies trust Asian and East-European Offshore IT companies to deliver solutions at a lower cost. While this works incredibly well for them, only one tiny detail remains to be settled: How are the actual developers working? Do they even go to an office? Who is taking care of them?

You would be surprised to see the working conditions that offshore employees put up with in developing countries. To the Western Company that hired their services, they are the ones that are able to do the hardest work. Why? Simply because they have the brains for it. Third world countries have become software developer and technology specialist mass-producers, as more and more young students choose to study programming and cybernetics, knowing this will grant them a secure job.

Omnisource Technologies offers a combination of Nearshore / Offshore Software Development and Custom Application and Integration Services to companies around the world. It is active on the Romanian market since 2006, and operates through the offices in New York, Toronto, Brasov, Bucharest and Taiwan with a team of 30 employees and collaborators. Recently, due to a significant growth in the number of services provided, it launched a new office space in Brasov, Romania on December 10, 2010. The event was celebrated with a party which both Romanian and international clients and partners attended. It started with a stand up comedy show by Tibi Neuronu’, followed by a speech held by Peter Ungureanu, Founder and CEO of Omnisource, who stated:
„Our biggest desire was to create a comfortable office space to encourage collaboration and professional improvement.”
Adrian, a new member of the Omnisource team, said: "I have worked in offshore development centers before coming to Omnisource. I really feel like we're part of a team and the office, it's great!"
The event then continued with the company’s Christmas party, where everyone had plenty of fun.
