‘Steel Raw Materials Outlook’ witnessed industry experts’ evaluate the role of excess liquidity in inflating prices of steel making raw materials

The conference aimed at discussing the role of excess liquidity in the market which also touched upon the commodity space and has raised concerns over the spiraling volatility in prices of steel raw materials. The first day of the conference witnessed prominent industry experts and influential figures like Mr. Sandipan Chakravortty, MD, Tata Steel Processing & Distribution, Mr. Gerard McCloskey, Founder Chairman, Mccloskey Group, Mr. D V Pichamuthu, Director, Southern Region, FIMI, Mr. Ashwani Sondhi, Director, Indian Commodity Exchange, Mr. M K Sampath, CEO, Pellet Projects (India), Essar Steel and others deliberate on the predicaments staggering the growth of the industry, analyse policy approach and the demand and supply balance, thus providing an outlook for prices of steel making raw materials.
