City Media foundation has announced the availability of City.vi network of sites for cities in Middle East region. City.vi provides local information in the most preferred online medium- Video.
“We are happy to announce the availability of City.vi for cities in Middle East region,” said City Media Foundation in a statement. “With easy to remember address, “city name” followed by “.vi”. For eg. Dubai.vi, Riyadh.vi, Muscat.vi, Tehran.vi etc. City.vi is revolutionary way to access local information”.
City.vi was launched globally on 10/10/2010. It is a network of 68,000 city specific video sites promoting direct local information delivery through video. The cities and regions covered are among the world’s most significant. Currently it covers city tour, news, events and professional videos on the cities and regions of the world.
According to the foundation, city.vi has a Unique and innovative graphical site design. It simplifies information access by providing local information on the specific city.vi page instead of cumbersome search engine > page select > page view route. It also confirms to open web content standards by allowing video embedding.
The Foundation also called upon the local authorities / representatives or officials to manage their respective city pages.
