(openPR) - Ankur Healthcare Private Limited, India’s premier center for Andrology and Reproductive Medicine announces Asia’s first centre to offer University recognized post graduate courses in Andrology & Men’s Health and Reproductive Medicine. These courses are recognised by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS).

The courses are for 18 months and are scheduled to begin in January 2011. Eligibility for Andrology course is MCh/DNB in Urology or MS in General Surgery. While for Reproductive Medicine it is MD/DNB in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The cost of the course is Rs.20,000 and during the period there will be a stipend paid to the students.

Today there are very few qualified professionals practicing Andrology. Research studies indicate there is a 50% increase in infertility in Urban India. It is important to have more qualified professionals both in Andrology (which focuses on male infertility) and Reproductive Medicine (female infertility),” added Dr. Vasan.
