(openPR) - Broadcasting Pioneer Ollie Collins, Jr Has Kind Words For Popular Weekend Radio Personality Roy Gray
"...I want to think to tell you before all these people what a great voice you have for doing what you do...It's a very unique voice that you have," famed broadcaster Ollie Collins, Jr recently told Popular Weekend Radio Personality Roy Gray, as listeners around the globe leaned closer to their "space-age" radios.
Gray felt honored.
"I believe the human personality and voice that God gives us are one and the same, and, in my view, broadcasting will never know a personality like the super-anointed voice of Ollie Collins, Jr," said Gray, pointing out, "Sure, any sane radio personality lives for the day when God's chosen 'daddies' of the business kinda stamp 'you're not half bad' on your mike."
Collins currently hosts the syndicated television show "From Down South" and owns Black Gospel spiritual-giant WSEL-FM in Tupelo, Mississippi, where he does 2 to 3 hours a day on the air.
Gray, who is also an independent voice-over artist and cousin of "Mary Mary" Super Producer Warryn "Baby Dubb" Campbell, hosts the popular "Simply Gospel" music program, which airs live on theICN.Com (The International Christian Network) every Saturday Night at 6.
Gray is always looking for your help tracking down the following types of stories and more:
1. A portrait of a family living on a dollar a day
2. A day in the life of an AIDS patient raising kids
3. An investigation of people being sold into slavery in places like Ghana
4. A profile of a person who fixes up old furniture/houses for new immigrants
5. New business ventures in places like rural Mexico.
6. People helping to save the planet.
Gray also invites the world to call the request
line any Saturday night to say happy birthday, and stay tuned to his universal broadcast to hear that birthday announcement.
The International Christian (Radio) Network broadcasts live Gospel Music Programs, featuring selected station-sponsored radio personalities like Roy Gray.
Simply Gospel Radio, founded by "Your Uncle Bill," furnishes Roy Gray's live on-air talent package to various radio stations.
Roy Gray Entertainment also does non-union voice-overs (from television and radio imaging to long-form corporate and industrial) using professional studios;
and freelance radio field reports using PMD660 and other Professional Field Reporting Equipment
