PMForum.org names Professor Roberto Sbragia as International Editorial Advisor for PM World Today

(openPR) - Dallas, Texas – February 1, 2007 — PMForum.org announced today that Dr. Roberto Sbragia, Professor of management at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, has been named an international editorial advisor for the online PM World Today eJournal. On 5 January 2007, the company announced the formation of an International Editorial Advisory Council for PM World Today, to include representatives from some of the world’s leading universities offering graduate programs in project management.

According to managing editor David Pells, “Dr. Sbragia is one of the leading figures in project management in Brazil today. His program at USP is graduating more students in project management than any other university in Brazil today. Professor Sbragia is also aligned with many corporate and government leaders in Sao Paulo. We are honored to have him join our editorial advisory team.”

Roberto Sbragia, PhD, is full Professor in the Management Department of the Faculty of Economics, Business and Accountancy (FEA) at the University of São Paulo in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Professor Sbragia has masters and PhD degrees in Business Administration from FEA/USP. His Post-Doctoral work was at Northwestern University in the USA, Technological Institute, Department of Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences, with emphasis on “R&D Management”. Dr. Sbragia is the Coordinator of the Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Project Management for the Fundação Instituto de Administração (FIA), recognized as the best Business School in Brazil for the period 2005-2006. He is the former President of ALTEC- Latin American Association for Technology Management. Mr. Sbragia is an author, consultant and professor in the fields of Innovation, Technology and Project Management.

Founded in 1934, the University of Sao Paulo (USP) is the biggest university in Brazil and the third largest in Latin America, with about 40,000 students and 5,000 faculty members in 36 knowledge areas. FEA was established in 1946 with the mission of providing specialized professionals who would be most needed by Brazil’s growing economy. Within the USP complex, FEA maintains the high standard of quality that characterizes the university.
