For home users Paragon Software Group includes Paragon’s imaging technology which provides maximum ease of use, integrates new powerful features and offers the fast system recovery.
Drive Backup Personal Edition is especially developed for home users who care about their critical data, media, programs, games and other crucial applications. This new Edition includes a user-friendly interface and powerful functionality; offers maximum simplicity; integrates up-to-date breakthrough technologies and the fastest system recovery possible.
New Features and Functionality:
- Archive database helps the user to easily manage backup images. The database holds all the necessary information about backup archives, their main properties and contents.
- Mount archive (via Archive database) - you can simply browse, use, or extract files from backup archives from Windows Explorer or any other windows application. After mounting a backup archive is treated as a logical disk by the system.
- Bootable Backup Capsule - boot the computer into the recovery environment directly from the Backup Capsule (no Recovery CD-ROM required) and perform any restore operations in case of operating system corruption or boot problems.
- Restore with Shrink function provides the possibility to restore a backup image to a free block of smaller size taking into account only the amount of actual data of the image.
- Shutdown After Apply function enables to set the computer to automatically switch off on the successful accomplishment of any scheduled operation.
- DVD+/-R (DL) Support.
- Powerful Recovery CD - gives you access to data on hard drive in case of a system failure or crash. Recovery CD is a bootable CD providing full functionality of the program with access to FAT, NTFS, Ext2/3 FS, Linux Swap and HPFS partitions on local hard drives.
