AST Adds New Representation to California for Pressure Sensor Products
Press release from: American Sensor Technologies
(openPR) - American Sensor Technologies, Inc. (AST) is pleased to announce the appointment of Process Instruments and Controls (PIC), as its pressure sensor distributor and representative in California and the Middle East. Process Instruments is a recognized leader in instrumentation and valving solutions. PIC earned its reputation by providing innovative solutions with a seasoned, technical team of field and office representatives as well as skilled service personnel. If required, PIC can provide turn-key solutions for their customers. PIC’s expertise in instrumentation complements the AST pressure products making this transition seamless.
The addition of Process Instruments by AST is the latest strategic move to increase distributor coverage in North America. Bakersfield, CA is a market that has tremendous potential for AST’s hazardous location approved products for on-shore and off-shore applications. With four account managers and two insides sales representatives, the Bakersfield office will have field and office support for AST products.
The southern California region is also a strong market for AST’s industrial pressure sensor products. The Costa Mesa, CA office is centrally located between LA and San Diego. Like their other locations, the Costa Mesa office is staffed by a seasoned team of field and inside sales professionals.
PIC will also represent and distribute AST products from its office in Oman, which is strategically located in the center of the Middle East; it will provide support for AST products in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Iraq and Qatar.
Process Instruments can be contacted at the following locations to discuss AST products:
Bakersfield: (661) 617-6000
Costa Mesa: (714) 540-6600

American Sensor Technologies, Inc. (AST) manufactures MEMS pressure sensors, pressure transducers and pressure transmitters that offer the best price-performance ratio in the industry. Manufactured in New Jersey, AST pressure sensing products are built with a full selection of hazardous area and industrial approvals to service customer applications. Common industries utilizing AST sensor products are industrial OEM hydraulic systems, fuel cells, medical gases, HVAC, refrigeration (ammonia, Freon, CO2), Oil & Gas exploration and production, and off-road vehicles. AST’s exclusive, proprietary Krystal Bond™ Technology (an advanced process in which inorganic materials are molecularly diffused onto a metallic surface in the presence of certain gases), produces high-performance pressure sensing products through the use of a single piece of stainless steel. AST offers a variety of UL and CSA approvals for Explosion-proof, Intrinsically Safe, and Non-incendive pressure transmitter applications. For more information on AST pressure sensing products and technology, please visit www.astsensors.com. Through the acquisition of noted LVDT manufacturer Macro Sensors (www.macrosensors.com), AST also offers a full line of linear/rotary position sensors, as well as related instrumentation.
