(openPR) - Popular Weekend Radio Personality Roy Gray Describes Joy Of Playing R&B Legends Like Ernie Johnson And Joe Simon On Gospel Radio
"If Hollywood were to make a movie about my life, much of the soundtrack for the 'back-in-the-day' scenes would be full of R&B tunes sung by Ernie Johnson and Joe Simon," Popular Weekend Radio Personality Roy Gray supposes.
Gray said, "To have these two gurus of R&B singing Gospel is just a blessing."
Ernie Johnson, who started out in Gospel in the 1960's, had this to say on Gray's "earthwide" radio show recently:
"I'm really proud of this (new Gospel) album, and I'm proud of you...for being able to get it out there, so people can hear it. I wrote most of the songs on this album (available at CD Baby.Com), and I write messages.
"What I like about me and Bishop Joe Simon is the people that buy our R&B albums, we can get messages through, and they'll listen to them because they're familiar with our voices and they like to hear us sing."
Gray was more than happy to have Johnson, who also has a radio show, as a guest.
Gray, who is also an independent voice-over artist, hosts the popular "Simply Gospel" music program, which airs live on theICN.Com (The International Christian Network) every Saturday Night at 6.
Gray is always looking for your help tracking down the following types of stories and more:
1. A portrait of a family living on a dollar a day
2. A day in the life of an AIDS patient raising kids
3. An investigation of people being sold into slavery in places like Ghana
4. A profile of a person who fixes up old furniture/houses for new immigrants
5. New business ventures in places like rural Mexico.
6. People helping to save the planet.
Gray also invites the world to call the request
line any Saturday night to say happy birthday, and stay tuned to his universal broadcast to hear that birthday announcement.
The International Christian (Radio) Network broadcasts live Gospel Music Programs, featuring selected station-sponsored radio personalities like Roy Gray.
Simply Gospel Radio, founded by "Your Uncle Bill," furnishes Roy Gray's live on-air talent package to various radio stations.
Roy Gray Entertainment also does non-union voice-overs (from television and radio imaging to long-form corporate and industrial) using professional studios;
and freelance radio field reports using PMD660 and other Professional Field Reporting Equipment
