Country Artist Colton James to Perform Nashville Industry Showcase Oct. 26 at The Rutledge
Press release from: AristoMedia
(openPR) - (Nashville, TN – Oct. 14, 2010) Rising Country artist Colton James is performing an industry showcase at downtown Nashville venue The Rutledge on Oct. 26.
James’ “Little Ride in the Country” is the first single off his newest effort, produced by Steve Sturm and mixed at Blackbird Studios in Nashville. The album, titled Little Ride in the Country, is scheduled for a 2010 release on Ride N High Records.
“’Little Ride in the Country’ is about leaving your problems, your watch and your phone at home and enjoying God’s beautiful work with whoever’s special to you,” says James.
James wrote or co-wrote eight of the 11 tracks on the album, which also includes veteran writers Greg Crowe (Montgomery Gentry’s “Lonely and Gone,” Sammy Kershaw’s “Little Did I Know”), Jim Collins (Kenny Chesney’s “The Good Stuff” and “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy”) and founding member of the Nashville Songwriters Association International, Bill Brock.
In addition to “Little Ride in the Country,” standout tracks from the new album include the patriotic ballad, “Brave Men,” and the inspiring “What Keeps Her Strong,” co-written with Brock and Gary Compton as a tribute to the millions of people around the world battling cancer.
James recently entered into a business association with Latham Marine’s Kathy Latham, who heard the young singer performing the inspiring “Brave Men” earlier this year at the Miami International Boat Show.
Colton James has opened for artists including Toby Keith, the Dixie Chicks, Jason Aldean, Joe Nichols, Mark Chesnutt, Chris Cagle and Lonestar, among others. Earlier this year, James opened up for the legendary George Jones, joining him on stage for a performance of “I Don’t Need Your Rockin’ Chair.”
