Press release from: AristoMedia
(openPR) - (Nashville, TN - Oct. 7, 2010) Charlie Daniels rocked the house last night (Oct. 6) when the legendary musician joined popular jam-band Widespread Panic at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium.
Daniels surprised the sold out crowd when he appeared on stage, fired up his fiddle and jammed on “Ain’t Life Grand,” “Who Do You Belong To” and “When You Coming Home.” The fans responded with a roar and remained on their feet, giving the performance a standing ovation.
Daniels was invited by Widespread Panic to perform with the band on their third night of sold out shows in Nashville. Daniels said, “I was honored to be asked to play with WSP. It was a fun night of jammin' with a group of great musicians.”
On Tuesday, Oct. 5, the legendary entertainer Daniels delivered the closing keynote speech at the annual conference of the International Entertainment Buyers Association in the Hilton ballroom in downtown Nashville. Daniels is a member of the inaugural class of the IEBA Hall of Fame, and following his speech he was presented with a plaque from IEBA Chairman Barry Jeffrey to conclude the induction.
The Charlie Daniels Band continues their tour in support of the band's current release, Land That I Love, on Blue Hat Records/E1 Entertainment. The band’s signature song, “The Devil Went Down To Georgia,” was released in 1979 and continues to be in demand. The song landed at No. 28 on Billboard's Country Digital Songs chart this week.
