New 16 Volt Ultra Capacitor Power Module Family for Automotive, Telecom and Industrial Applications

(openPR) - Capcomp GmbH introduces availability of 16-Volt Ultra Capacitor Module Family with rated capacitance of 108F, 200F, 266F, 333F and 500F. Products are developed and manufactured by NESSCAP Ltd. South Korea. This product concept was developed to meet requirements of power hungry automotive, industrial and telecom applications providing versatile building blocks for complete systems with higher voltage requirements.
The five (5) new modules consist each out of 6 cells with 2.7V /cell. These new power-cells from 650F to 3000F were previously introduced earlier this year. The technology innovation within these cells set a new standard for the market place. The new 16 V multi-cell modules can store more energy, deliver more power per unit volume and last longer than any other comparable commercially available ultra capacitor product in the market. The modules are encased in a robust and rugged aluminum chassis.
These durable 'smart boxes’ include Integrated Ultra Capacitor Management Unit (UMU), individual cell balancing, voltage and temperature diagnosis by logic output.
16 Volt Power Module features:
- Rated Voltage 16.2V
- Highest power performance with ultra-low internal resistance
- Stored Energy up to 18.2 Wh at Vr
- Maximum Current up to 2020 A ( 1 sec discharge rate to 1/2Vr )
NESSCAP and Capcomp GmbH offer with these standard modules an easy integration pathway into a variety of applications like:
- Transportation
- Telecommunication
- Automotive
- High Power UPS
- Engine / Generator Starting
- Fuel Cell
- Windmill Shaving
- Solar Energy Systems
and many more.
Furthermore products will perform reliably for more than one million charge and discharge cycles. Products are specified for an operational temperature range of - 40°C ~ +65°C and manufactured according to RoHS standards.
