Panel takes on the tough questions about Home Care, Family Caregiving and Finances

(Warren, NJ – September 29, 2010) Zarephath Christian Church will be hosting an upcoming panel presentation on Saturday, October 16th at 9:00 a.m. that is open to the public. The panel presentation entitled, “Eldercare Planning for Baby Boomers – Providing the Answers You Need” will address common caregiver issues which include being overwhelmed and under informed when an older adult needs their help. The panel presentation moderator is Maryann Porosky, LCSW, Care Management Specialist of Caring Choices and will feature four experts: Michelle Bucci, Outreach Director at the Chelsea of Warren, Kevin McClarren, President, Home Care Assistance; Jeff Knapp, Eldercare Law Attorney of Knapp Law Firm and Terri Erbacher, LPN, Elder Care Advocate.

“This panel presentation is excellent one-stop-shop to ask any questions you have pertaining to elder care and planning,” says Kevin McClarren, President of the Caregiver Coalition. “It is not common to find a panel of experts in their respective fields sitting at one table and available to answer any, and all questions, free of charge.”

The panel of eldercare planning experts will explore a variety of topics – from ways to avoid costly mistakes, both emotional and financial, to choosing the right venue for care, whether it is in your home, an assisted living facility or a nursing home. How to minimize the financial impact eldercare can have on your family and loved ones will be another topic of discussion and participants will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session at the end of the presentation.
