(openPR) - Capcomp GmbH introduces availability of 125 Volt Ultra Capacitor Multi-Cell Module with a capacity of 62 Farad. This product is developed and manufactured by NESSCAP Ltd. South Korea. The product concept was designed to meet specific market requirements for robust, compact, energy dense and long cycle life alternatives to battery applications.

The main focus is on market applications like: Hybrid-bus, Tram, Metro or specific hybrid vehicles like dumping- truck to recuperate electric brake-energy or other methods. This module can also be used in industrial applications where high current energy (discharge) or very fast energy storage (charge) is required. For example excavator, harbor-crane or all terrain vehicles.

Maximum current is 1850A (1 sec. discharge to ½ Vr). Available energy storage is 134.5Wh (at Vr).

The technology innovation within these cells set a new standard for the market place. The new 125V multi-cell module can store more energy, deliver more power per unit volume and last longer than other commercially available ultra capacitor products. This module is encased in a robust and rugged, splash-proof aluminum chassis (IP65 for the cells, IP55 for fanbox). The durable 'smart box’ includes temperature and voltage monitoring and internal cell balancing that give designers 'plug and play’ solutions plus module-to-module balancing that makes them versatile building blocks for systems with higher voltage requirements.

NESSCAP and Capcomp GmbH offer with this standard module an easy integration pathway into a variety of Heavy-Hybrid and Industrial Applications. Moreover, this product will perform reliable for more than one million charge and discharge cycles. It is specified for an operational temperature range of - 40°C ~ +65°C and manufactured according to RoHS standards.
