Monitors with ornaments: AOC introduces Full HD displays with WLED backlight

Berlin, 22 September 2010 – AOC presents two new displays with WLED backlight and screen sizes of 54.7 cm/21,5” and 61 cm/24”. Because of their broad range of features, these economical 16:9 monitors bring along everything that is necessary to enjoy current media content in best Full HD quality. The displays also impress visually: Their extraordinary design with attractive ornaments on the back and a rounded foot makes them real eye-catchers.

Brilliant performance
Thanks to Full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:9, these new displays recommend themselves especially for games and home entertainment in High Definition, but also for text and spreadsheet editing at the home office. Modern WLED backlight results in a more uniform illumination and an impressive dynamic contrast ratio of 20,000,000:1 (DCR). The models convince with particularly natural, brilliant colours and saturated black levels.

Gamers and film fans will be delighted with the fast response time of only five milliseconds that guarantees razor-sharp images without distortions even during fast-paced action sequences. Large viewing angles of 170 degrees horizontally and 160 degrees vertically create an excellent image quality even when looking at the screen from the side.

Eye-catcher on the desk
Special highlights of both monitors are their elaborately designed rear sides, which are adorned with ornamental forms inspired by nature. Also decorated with patterns, the rounded foot perfectly complements the design. Part of the equipment are D-SUB and DVI-D (with HDCP) ports that allow playback of current HD videos with copy protection and make the displays true multimedia all-rounders.

The added green plus
Both models completely forgo mercury and fulfil current energy efficiency standards such as ENERGY STAR 5.0 or EPEAT, thanks to their economical LED backlight technology. By using the e-Saver software, which allows a multitude of intelligent energy-saving options, and the e-Sensor, which automatically regulates the screen brightness down whilst the user is away, the electricity consumption can be reduced even further.

The new displays are available from now on.
