Site Analysis and Network Planning Simplified for Reliable Deployment of Wireless Networks
Press release from: E-Senza Technologies GmbH
(openPR) - September 13, 2010; Konstanz, Germany and Waltham, MA – E-Senza, a leading developer of wireless device networking products today announced the availability of a site analysis and wireless network planning tool. The SenzaAnalyzer enables a faster and more reliable deployment and planning of IEEE 802.15.4 based wireless networks especially whenever heavy usage of a network is foreseen in a given environment from WLAN routers or Bluetooth devices.
Focused on the needs of operators, service engineers, technician or system specialists who need to decide where to deploy wireless sensors to build a reliable system, the SenzaAnalyzer provides them with detailed information about RF environment like potential sources of interference, expected range under real-world conditions as well as the number and location of repeaters if necessary.
“Though it is best suited for E-Senza`s proprietary SenzaNET based systems, it can also be used for WirelessHART, ZigBee or any other system analysis.“ stated Amit Shah, President and CEO of E-Senza Technologies. “SenzaAnalyzer provides exactly what customers wanted but were unable able to find on the market; a tool enabling them to easily complete the comprehensive analysis of a static RF environment.
SenzaAnalyzer includes a master and a slave module. The master offers an intuitive and easy to use menu to guide the analysis and report results. The salve presents the second end point of a wireless link and helps the master to determine signal strength and packet error range.
The site analysis and network planning proceed in three simple steps. In the first step the SenzaAnalyzer Master passively scans all IEEE 802.15.4 channels in the 2.4 GHz ISM band at a given point within the site. Within 40 seconds a complete overview of the noise present in each channel will be provided.
After that follows the link quality check to determine the signal-strength between two network nodes. For the final testing, the operator has to place the nodes based on the results of the first two steps and send test data.
