Imperato Calls for Cease Fire, Increased Presence, and Peace Activist Support
Press release from: Imperato For President
(openPR) - Boston, MA – January 7, 2007 – Today, leading independent presidential candidate, Daniel Imperato renewed his call for Cease-Fire in Iraq, along with increased troop presence in the region.
"The time has come. We must call for peace in Iraq and the only way to move towards that is cease fire. We must take the troops off the streets and bring them back to the base to regroup."
Imperato also called for increased troop deployment to Iraq as a means of solidifying the US position in the region.
"In addition, we need to add more troops to build our force in the region. Our country has seen when you don't have enough troops. With enough troops we can maintain our position in the region and ensure that we have the resources needed to achieve our mission."
Lastly, Imperato requested that all peace activists rally around him and his mission for peace in the region.
"I now call on all of the peace activists around the country and around the world to support me so that we can have peace in Iraq and peace around the world. I believe that I have the solutions and the know-how to accomplish this for our country. So, now, we must all come together and rally for peace and Imperato."
