Presenting Chicago’s First Ever Young Professionals OnBoard

By the time you hit your mid twenties, you’ve been through a number of orientations. College orientation is more than a cursory introduction to a university, as these one to two day sessions give new freshmen an overview of what to expect as a new college student and how to navigate campus life and classes effectively. Once out of school, new employee orientation integrates rookie employee into an organization, focusing on topics that enable each individual to quickly become contributing, motivated members of the team.

But what about Life Orientation? Enter Chicago OnBoard.

Young Professionals of Chicago and WhatCollegeForgot.com are partnering to bring often forgotten but extremely essential real-world information to Chicago’s current college students, recent grads, and young professionals.

Local sponsors include The Metropolitan Club of Chicago, Wright Leadership Institute, Lucas Group, Quarter Life Coach, Dale Carnegie Training, TheMindsetGame.com, and eWomenNetwork, among others.

Participants at the Chicago OnBoard event will be able to mingle with sponsors and network with other participants. Break-out info sessions will be offered on the following real-world topics:

• How to set a budget
• How to advance their careers
• How to find a good mentor
• How to save for retirement
• Dating & relationships
• How to find a new job
• And many more!

Chicago OnBoard will be held on September 13, 2010 at the Metropolitan Club (Willis Tower at 233 South Wacker Drive, Chicago, 67th Floor) from 5:00 to 9:00 PM.
