Top Professionals to Teach Chiropractors How to ‘Prove’ Validity of Services with Evidence-Based Practice
Press release from: Karl Parker Seminars
(openPR) - LAS VEGAS, NV, JANUARY 1: Karl Parker Seminars' first annual International Chiropractic Appreciation Mega-Event will include in-depth presentations on evidence-based practice. The topic will be presented by a tag-team of industry professionals at the event later this month.
The seminar's impressive lineup of 44+ speakers will include International Chiropractor's Association vice president and president Dan Murphy, DC and John Maltby, DC. Joining them will be industry up-and-comer Dwight Whynot, DC. The three are slated to speak on the topic of evidence-based practice (EBP), a topic seminar founder W. Karl Parker, DC says is crucial.
"In today's tough economic environment, chiropractors everywhere are finding it more difficult to squeeze payments from reluctant insurance companies," says Parker. "If you want them to show you the money, you have to show them the proof. That's where evidence based practice comes in."
EBP is a topic that is also close to the hearts of the three speakers.
"I want to offer the chiropractic profession the highest quality in whiplash education and to train doctors in the bulletproof management of personal injury cases with both documentation and treatment," says Dr. Murphy. "We want to show the doctor the scientific validation of the subluxation and its relationship to structure and function mediated through the nervous system."
According to Whynot, EBP means the difference between getting paid and losing money...and maybe even the difference between keeping and losing your practice.
"The health care system as it is, it's getting harder and harder to get reimbursed for everything you do in your office," says Whynot. "When I practice an evidence-based style of practice, I give the insurance companies the evidence they need to gather to show them the patient needs the care I'm giving."
