RibbonSearch – A fast search function for the Office Ribbon
Press release from: IT-Services Thomas Holz
(openPR) - Dormagen, Germany - August 17, 2010: ITSTH has published the new program "RibbonSearch" (Windows PC). The new software solves a problem that everyone knows who has switched to a new office version: It is hard to find the right program functions. RibbonSearch offers for this a lightning-fast search function directly in the Office Ribbon.
Overview:
The change in Microsoft Office to the so-called "Ribbon" also means a big change for the users. The reorganization of the program functions forces the users to learn again where to find certain program functions. Unfortunately this means that the users sometimes have to search for minutes for the right program function.
RibbonSearch helps: The program displays for Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint a new search bar directly above the ribbon. As soon as the user types the name or a part of the name of a program function, RibbonSearch shows the exact name of the function and how to find it: the name of the ribbon page and where it is placed on the page.
Furthermore the search function also works for the options dialogs of the mentioned office programs. This makes it a lot easier to find the right options in the extensive and sometimes nested options dialogs.
RibbonSearch works with Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2000 and NT. It is free for private use.
