The 2nd Annual Crockett Foundation Family Health & Community Festival

Through music and health awareness, a fusion put into one community festival for the entire family is being held at the Pompano Citi Centre on Saturday, August 7, 2010. For the second year in a row, the esteemed Crockett Foundation has put together their Annual Community Health and Awareness Festival to be held for the entire South Florida region. With different health administrations on site fused with good wholesome entertainment, this is sure to be an event not to be missed.
The Crockett Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by former NFL Players’ Henri Crockett (Minnesota Vikings), Zack Crockett (Oakland Raiders), and O.J. Santiago (Oakland Raiders). The Foundation is committed to improving the quality of life and building strong communities locally and internationally through community endeavors that benefit at-risk youth and families.
The entertainment part of the event will be performed by South Florida artists represented by Young World Management gear up for one of the festival made especially for families. For the 2010 festival, the list of artists to perform includes: Yabow (Latin Rap Artist), Robbie (R&B Artist), Brock aka The Real Black Elvis (Hip Hop/Rap Artist), Naomi (R&B/Pop Artist), Jo-V (R&B/Pop Artist, E.O. (Rap), and LaLah (Pop Artist). Additional Performances by: KING, Ms, Row, T-Jay, and special invited guest; with special guest appearances by former NFL players and Mayor Lamar Fisher of the City of Pompano Beach.
The Community Health Festival (CHF) will be a free event, open to residents in the South Florida communities. As an added bonus, there will be a free concert for all in attendance! CHF 2010 will focus on key health issues to heighten the importance of optimizing overall health status as well as the benefits of staying well via diet/nutritional choices, exercise, health check-ups and an overall balanced way of living. Various free immunizations and health screenings will be offered throughout the day to those in attendance.
