Mr. Young has almost 30 years’ experience in the energy, natural resource and electric power and related service sectors, with an emphasis on structuring, negotiating and documenting oil and gas, natural resource and other projects and transactions. Mr. Young’s practice is focused on U.S. and international project development and project finance transactions, U.S. and cross-border mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, and advising U.S. and multinational clients in overseas business operations, particularly in Latin America, the Middle East, North Africa and other emerging markets. He has experience both as in-house legal counsel and in outside law practice. He has worked in more than 60 different countries and has particular experience in Latin America, the Middle East, Africa and other emerging markets transactions.
Mr. Young has been recognized in the Projects Law category by Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business (2007), in the Project Finance Law category by The Best Lawyers in America (2008), by The International Who's Who of Oil & Gas Lawyers (2007) and by Who's Who Legal: Texas 2007 in the Mergers & Acquisitions, Oil & Gas, and Project Finance categories. He was also named as one of five "Top-Notch Lawyers" in International Law by Texas Lawyer magazine in 2007.
