(openPR) - HOUSTON – Jackson Walker is pleased to welcome new partner Michael W. Wood to the Corporate/Energy group in the Houston office.
As an attorney in private practice, Mr. Wood has handled several billion dollars of commercial transactions involving corporate reorganizations, acquisitions and debt restructuring. He focuses on all phases of project development, including contract negotiation, financing and development, and restructuring of debt with financial institutions. He has represented developers, lenders and contractors regarding acquisition, construction and development of raw land, commercial and industrial development, as well as power plant and renewable energy development and acquisitions. He has also represented numerous financial institutions with respect to all forms of real estate and corporate financing.
Mr. Wood is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Bar Association and the Society of International Business Fellows. He received his J.D. degree from the University of Texas School of Law and his Bachelor of Commerce from Rice University.
