Nutrition: Health Is Wealth
In today’s life, consuming healthy food is as difficult as getting fresh air. Seriously, nutrition is no rocket science! Having a little knowledge of nutrients and its proportions makes it easier for the consumer to look into the diet and choose wise. Here, the knowledge must not be misled with myths. People today, in the name of diet, not only risk their health but also deprive their cells from building a stronger foundation for tomorrow. They limit the intake of calories to the level they harm themselves.
Basic knowledge of nutrition starts with the kitchen. A daily diet intake of protein must range from 45-55g, carbohydrates should be included as the major proportion of 225-325g and a rough average of fat intake should be limited from 45-75g per day! So, get your calculators going and check if you are eating the correct food every day.
Nutrition depends and differs with the age changes! The level of intake takes the round curve from an infant to puberty to adult and then to old age. Paediatric Nutrition takes care of the daily intake of a child. A sudden change in appetite around the age of puberty foreshadows the growth spurt of the age. RDA or Regular Dietary Allowance specifies the amount of nutrient intake in each age group.
Nutritional science includes the study of breaking down of food and utilizing the energy released in the repairing and creating new cells.
