GIIP, in collaboration with Accelper Consulting (Chicago), announces workshops on Innovation & Six Sigma

Further to the Prime Minister’s initiatives on various programs related to innovation and to aid his innovation theme of “Convert brain drain to brain gain”, Global Institute of Intellectual Property (GIIP), in collaboration with Accelper Consulting, Chicago (USA), is organizing two workshops in the field of Innovation & Six Sigma in India. The Innovation workshop will be held from July 5th to July 6th and the Six Sigma Certification from July 7th to 9th at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. These workshops are being offered by Accelper in collaboration with Illinois Institute of Technology and will be conducted by U.S. based Praveen Gupta, the leading international proponent of science and engineering of innovation, and a pioneer of the Six Sigma methodology.

Challenged by the financial crisis, corporations are re-looking at their processes, techniques and strategies for their effectiveness and efficiency. Innovation competency has become an evolving necessity at individual and organization levels. As per GIIP’s CEO Mr. Atulya Nath, “The need of the hour is to be pro-active and provide a curriculum on a structured methodology that is sustainable. There is a need to create the culture for excellence and innovation in order to win global business and increase profit. Learning new competencies begin with training resources to innovate efficiently and better in R&D or on-demand for manufacturing or service organizations. Hence the effort of designing a specialized workshop on Innovation.”

The Six Sigma Green Belt Training and Certification Workshop will guide the participants on how to solve most business problems with improved process knowledge using powerful Six Sigma tools. Praveen Gupta, who is the President at Accelper Consulting and Faculty of Business Innovation at IIT Chicago, has been involved with Six Sigma right since its birth at Motorola. He provides a practical and easy to understand framework to help improve most processes. Speaking on the right approach that companies should adopt to survive in today’s highly competitive business environment, Mr. Gupta opines, “We must not expect excellence; we must passionately deliver excellence and innovation in everything we do.” The rest, including success, will simply fall in place.
