(openPR) - STAR Servicios Lingüísticos continues its steady growth, and new professionals recently joined the company.

On the 1st of December, Nuria Prieto joined STAR Servicios Lingüísticos as COO. Previously, Nuria had been working at STAR Paris, the French branch of the STAR Group, for almost 6 years, where she headed the production department and was responsible for the project managers team, their training and career evolution in the company, as well as the relationship with customers and service providers, and the organisation and communication with the pre-sales and sales department for new customers.

New staff was also recruited for the technical department. Jordi Sesé, predoctorate in computer linguistics, has a long-standing experience as system administrator, analyst and programmer. Jordi will be part of our technical support and R&D team and work on database applications, workflow automation and optimisation of translation memory, combining TM and language search engine technology. Kai-Sven Bunk is the youngest member of the team, but he can already look back on several years of application development, with a focus on Web, ERP and content management. Kai will team up with our ERP / CRM development squad and help out with web administration.

The latest reinforcements to the in-house translation department are Ana Cañizares and Marta Pahisa. With these two, STAR Servicios Lingüísticos now counts on a team of 8 in-house translators. “We might be going against the stream doing this, but we decided to have a proper in-house translation team for German, English and French into Spanish, since we regard it to be the best way to cater for our clients needs. With our in-house team of translators and proof-readers, we have greater control over quality, and the department guarantees the dedication and fast turnaround our clients demand.”, says Michael Scholand, CEO of STAR Servicios Lingüísticos.
