(openPR) - The Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam published figures for broadband. The market reached 3.195 million subscribers in March 2010, it gained 228.100 subscribers during this quarter which represents a 7.7% growth.

Compared to the first quarter of 2009, the growth of broadband subscribers stands at 40.7%. According to a local research, 26% of the Vietnamese population, this figure covers 50% of urban areas. 97% of Internet users are using it to read news while 50% are using it for online gaming.
