(openPR) - Some industrial processes need heat only for a short time, focussed on a limited area. It is not always necessary to install a complete oven for one heating stage in a manufacturing process.
A typical example relates to tiles for wall and ceiling cladding, where the edges must be varnished and dried. Envelopes for publicity campaigns and direct mail shots have addresses printed on them using inject printers and this print needs to be dried. For other products, heating sources which heat only thin or small areas are required. Thin strips, belts or profiles do not necessarily need a large heating system to pre-heat them or dry them.

Heraeus Noblelight has developed a new infrared module, the M110, which makes infrared heat easier and faster to use. M110 modules are compact and ready for use. They are so standardised that they can be supplied extremely quickly to allow retrofitting in existing systems. They are easy to install whenever a second production line is required, quickly and at low capital cost. The compact modules help to allow the creation of heating processes which operate with manageable energy consumption, especially when these processes are only used for short periods.
M110 infrared modules are equipped with active ventilation and contain one or two infrared emitters. The emitters are selected to suit the application and feature a gold reflector, which virtually doubles the effective Infrared radiation. They plug into a housing which is 110mm wide and can be up to 3 metres long, depending on the application. If necessary, several modules can be combined to create heating fields. Infrared radiation is transmitted without contact and generates heat directly in the product to be heated. Heraeus Noblelight offers different emitters which can be matched to the required process in terms of wavelength, size and power. Consequently, heating stages can be reproduced and automation can be effected.
