(openPR) - WOBURN, MA - June 10, 2010 – Based on the successful relationship that began with the MESA 6000 EDXRF analyzer, Innov-X Systems, Inc. and HORIBA Instruments (Irvine, CA) are pleased to announce their expanded marketing partnership. HORIBA will now market the Innov-X X-50 and X-5000 fluid analyzers for applications analyzing elemental content in petrochemical and hydrocarbon fluids. The X-50/5000, manufactured by Innov-X, combines the analytical power and safety of a closed-beam benchtop XRF system with battery operation portability. The result is a unique XRF system that utilizes either a silicon PiN diode (X-50) or silicon drift detector (X-5000) and a high powered 50 kV, 10 Watt x-ray tube. The X-5000 measures elements from Mg to U in a variety of hydrocarbon samples and petrochemical fluids, whereas the X-50 measures from S to U. Both models feature a specially designed sample holder to consistently locate either bottles or XRF sample cups for fluid sample analysis.
