- Travelex becomes exclusive Mox partner in Australia
- Travelex Australia decides - in addition to Telstra, the leading Australian telecommunications company – in favour of Mox Telecom AG as ”preferred supplier” in strategic business segment, calling cards

Ratingen, 30th November 2006 - Mox Telecom AG, the Experts for International Telephony, today concluded a business agreement for the sale of its Mox No Limit cards with Travelex, the world’s leading currency specialists with an extensive global distribution network. In doing so, Mox taps into the entire Australian market with its products. The Mox No Limit cards are available in Australia immediately and from more than 14,000 Travelex branches.

“Travelex recognised the importance of international telephony early on and, with its enormous sales force, is expanding this business segment further from thousands of points of sale (foreign currency exchange, vending machines etc). That also makes Travelex an ideal partner for the distribution of international telephony from Mox to exceptionally suitable ‘Points of Sale’ (PoS)”, explains Dr. Günter Schamel, founder and CEO of Mox Telecom AG. Travelex is one of the most significant wholesalers for calling cards and other pre-paid telecommunications products in Australia. With 14,000 PoS (ePoS, Travelex PoS and vending machines), the company covers all widespread regions in Australia.

Mox complements Travelex’s extensive telecommunications range with a particularly innovative Voice over IP based solution for high quality, low cost international telephony. The No Limit Card from Mox is the first flat rate calling card in Australia. Depending on the card value, you can make calls for 4 days (10 AUD) or 8 days (20 AUD) from Australia to fixed line or mobile networks in China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand, as well as to fixed lines in the UK, Ireland, New Zealand, South Korea and Australia, 24 hours a day. The Management Board already anticipates that this cooperation will make considerable contributions to turnover for the fiscal year, 2007.

Mox Telecom are the Experts for International Telephony. The company was founded in 1998 and has since established itself as a leading provider in the market. Its marketing media encompass, alongside the calling card, a series of additional innovative telecommunications services: In the past year for example, Mox succeeded in entering the lucrative mobile phone market with its own SIM card (Mobile Virtual Network Operator), thereby enabling the increasing number of mobile phone users to also benefit from cheaper international phone calls. Outside Germany and many other European countries, Mox operates successfully in the USA, Canada and Australia.
